Pillars is a new app built by Muslims with a long-term vision to elevate our Ummah (Muslim community). As of September 2023 the app has 600,000+ users.
We have many aspirations. However, recent events have highlighted the importance of trust in our community. Therefore, in the short-term we will focus on Prayer (Salah) by building an elegant ad-free app that prioritises your privacy. However, we don't plan to stop there.
The only way to improve our Ummah's condition is to empower individual Muslims to improve themselves. That's why we're building features to help Muslims improve their individual condition in multiple aspects of their lives - from the spiritual to the non-spiritual. These are all important and interlinked.
We believe that as a community of 1.9 billion people it's time we stopped relying on others and built our own solutions.

Think PassMed but for OSCEs!
OSCEs are practical exams that medical students across the UK and the world have to sit to qualify as doctors.
Until now students have to lug around a large book full of OSCE stations or make up their own station. OSCE practice means co-ordinating a million things at the same time: Zoom, a timer, station scenarios on your screen and maybe even a group chat to co-ordinate things with your OSCE group (e.g. if you're doing circuits). On top of that, you've either got to make up your stations or lug around a large book full of stations if you're out and about and doing OSCE practice in person.
We want to change that.
We're trying to make OSCE practice with your friends and self a breeze. A platform which includes a database of ready-to-go OSCE stations and the tools you need to smash your exams.
Our mission at Medmentor is to empower any and every person who wants to be a doctor with all the best tools they need to succeed, regardless of their socioeconomic or ethnic background. We've put absolutely everything any aspiring medic could need under one roof.
I'm passionate about this project for two reasons: firstly, having studied at both a state school and grammar school, I've seen how much of an impact a good background can have on your future; secondly, I believe that if we seriously want to solve the health inequalities that exist, we need to improve the diversity of medical leadership.
